The big news of the season is that we Kenyans went to the polls on March 4th. We now have a new government working under a new constitution. Kenya is ready and well positioned to move forward into the next era!
Meanwhile, at EnglishPoint Marina, February and March were busy months…
The Directors first travelled to England for the inspection, testing and approval of EnglishPoint’s five generators. It was tough on them as they went from Mombasa’s sweltering 31 degrees to sub-zero temperatures in England! (Picture 01).
Next Alnoor and Amyn Kanji were in Rotterdam sourcing Gym equipment for EnglishPoint’s Spa and Wellness Centre (Picture 02).
The last stop during their travels was at Porcelanosa near Valencia in Spain. Amyn and Helen are seen inspecting the goods ready for loading (Picture 03).
On site at EnglishPoint Marina the big crane with the 50m jib continued installing the beams that will support the Lower Boardwalk and the Sailing Centre
In my previous update I told you that the basement level of the three-storey boat shaped restaurant was complete. And now the floor of the upper level is also ready to cast (Picture 04).
The next big casting will be the iconic roof of the restaurant looking forward to that!
The remaining piles for the marina are here and the barge is expected to start the last of the piling work anytime now. More on this in my next update.
In March we commissioned more aerial pictures of EnglishPoint Marina. The photographer did an excellent job and I’m sharing some of the pictures with you (Pictures 05, 06, & 07).
