The residential owner and management company behind East Village, Get Living London has been named the Property Newcomer of the Year at last night’s RESI awards. Established in May 2013, Get Living London launched with an aim to make renting in London a better experience and to meet the city’s growing demand for high quality rental accommodation.

The RESI Awards, which celebrate the residential property market and its successes of the year, recognise companies with an innovative approach to providing housing. The news of the award win, which comes as Get Living London enters its second year, demonstrates its position as a leader in its field. After the departure of the world’s athletic elite from the Olympic Park, the ODA got to work fitting out the apartments – adding kitchens and removing temporary walls which had been added to facilitate additional bedrooms for the athletes. The first homes were handed over to Get Living London from the ODA in early November 2013. Get Living London has been adding the final touches to the homes by installing wardrobes and fitting curtains and blinds before the first residents moved in on 26 November; another key step in the transformation of the first legacy neighbourhood from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
