house for sale sign

A survey undertaken by property website Rightmove reveals that 40% of owner-occupiers believe eco-issues, such as renewable energy supply and sustainable building materials, are important.

Fully 48% say they are concerned about the energy efficiency of their property and ‘would be interested to know’ how their home would perform on an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) that is now a requirement of the HIP pack when selling a property. However, less than 5% of those who responded said they would be prepared to pay more for eco-friendly or renewable building materials.
